I wouldn't be surprised to see them re-emerge as a purely online retailer in the same way Woolworths has.

A competitive, streamlined HMV with a a solid online strategy (rather than an afterthought as present) would be a good thing.

The less competition there is, the quicker those who are competitive now will increase their prices. Never good for the consumer.
