Knowing prices on the internet I used to go into HMV and just laugh at what they were asking for CD's and DVD's. And whilst Tony's right about all those poor sods losing their jobs, it really has been on the cards for a long time and the people in charge only have themselves to blame. Adapt or die, as they say.
One example was when I saw AC/DC's Black Ice on their web site for £8.99. So I asked someone to pick me up a copy in town and when they came back it had a big sticker on it saying £13.99!! Needless to say, it went straight back as I refuse to pay over a tenner for any album that isn't either a double or a rarity.
