I hear what you're saying, I like songs like "Bounce" and "Unbreakable" musically, but...I don't know. Maybe I'm just more of a "lyrics guy" than most here, but I just can't get into songs like that lyrically anymore. Just sounds like, as I said, chestbeater-bravado anthem type stuff to these ears. Not much thought behind it. And if they put "live while I'm alive" in one more song... ;-) That I can relate to, its just sooooo overdone.

Now...These Days was an album that IMO managed to be contemporary, rock, AND have great lyrics I connected with. A whole album of songs like "Hey God", "Something For the Pain", "Just Older", "Captain Crash", "Undivided", "Hook Me Up", "NOvocaine", and "Any Other Day" could be sweet. Oh, and gotta throw in at least one ballad :-) "Superman Tonight" was awesome IMO - their best ballad in years.
