I have a large collection of Mp3's and also many lossless music files, and you can barely tell one from another, even more so for us geriatrics around here, as your ability to hear high frequencies diminishes a lot after your teenage years. This snobbery about Mp3's is a load of old bollocks. Even on a good quality Hi-Fi system it's difficult to tell a 320k Mp3 from a lossless file or a CD.
