Scorpions pre Lovedrive. Yes, it can sound dated but there is some fantastic 70's hard rock in their earlier stuff. Plus the live album, Tokyo Tapes, is fantastic.

Triumph pre Allied Forces. Just A Game and Progressions Of Power are superb albums. Conversely I think that, post Allied Forced, they are hugely overrated.

Queensryche pre Operation:Mindcrime. Overlooked and underrated by the mainstream. Too progressive for the massees but, especially RFO, the material is outstanding.

Rick Springfield.....all of them.
