I love Edguy but (for me) their best album were their first few where they were one of the best power metal bands going around. Vain Glory Opera and Theater Of Salvation are some of the finest albums I have ever heard in that genre. Mandrake was stellar but started a shift towards the more melodic metal....still loved it though.

From there on in whilst the albums were good, I dont think any of them really approached the greatness of the earlier material.
