By far the best music bio I've read for some time is THIS IS A CALL, the Dave Grohl story by Paul Brannigan.

There's almost a little too much focus on the Nirvana period and perhaps the early years, personally I wished Paul could have dedicated at least the final third of the book on Foo Fighters and delved deeper into the albums material, the book as is does feel a little pushed for space come books end...

But that aside Paul Brannigan has real insight, has researched thoroughly, is a magnificent writer and has delivered a great read.

Rating 9/10
