The problem with the U.S (as i'm sure you know) is that it could cost just as much for fans from one side of the U.S to fly to the other side of the U.S as it would for most fans in Europe and the UK to travel to other parts of Europe and the UK. However, it'll cost a LOT more for fans from Europe and the UK to fly to the U.S.
So if it was held anywhere in Europe, fans can fly, train or boat from most of the rest of Europe and the UK to get there (and affordably).
If it's held in the U.S, most of Europe and the UK would have alot of expense to get there, and even people within the U.S would be paying almost as much to travel from one side of the country to the other.
I think that's why Firefest does so well. Even this year, where the 2 headline acts on Sat and Sunday are basically a tribute act or a tribute show as it were, the advance ticket sales show that fans from the world over will be travelling in to support the show.
However, If I can get out, i'd love to support your show, and I do wish you every success with it!
I'll be more happy if you get my Rollie-less Storm line-up off the ground! ;-)
