Re: FBI STATS

Not a fight fact. Some ask why is there is no stricter gun control in the US. Yes the recent events are one too many but the answer lies not in removing guns, at least here in the US If the same logic was used with guns we would be not driving cars. I think that ALL sides could get together and protect the right to bear arms while keeping the nuts away from it. Even if that were done today the still need to answer th 95% of illegal guns out there.
I think yearly training and refresher courses are needed in this country along with a universal law on sales, ect. The true fault in the Newtown case is the mother. While she went the legal route to get her guns she did not safeguard them in her home. Forget her crazy son....what if she had a burglary?
So its not a matter if I am for or against. People ask "why does America still have guns"...the answer is this...people want them....day in day out MILLIONS of legal guns are out there with NO crimes committed with them. When a judge gets to hear a case on control the stats don't lie. In America you can't overturn law or create law that has no fact behind it. There are ways to make getting guns better. There are ways to make schools safer. It needs people to ask real questions and solve the illegal problems which unless you live under a rock will never go away.
PS: Unlike the mother in Newtown 3 of my 4 weapons are in a safe where only I can open it. In my will is the combo. The gun I keep handy is in a box like this
http://www.patriotsafe.com/Biometric-Handgun-Safe-_p_592.htmlNo one can open it. If I had a crazy kid.....well they can steal box but that's it. If some breaks in it will take me 3 seconds to open it..thus the dirtbag is still leaving in a body bag
