No mate you got me wrong read my post again.

I have American friends and my wife has family spread over the states. My pop was at the people who think that owning a gun is a 'right' that nobody should question when the sensible thing is to outlaw them completely.

Its the flawed arguments for owning them that rattles me. I have great respect for the sensible folk like yourself that doesnt feel the need to own one :)

(my comment about us having to own a gun for protection if we moved over there is caused by the FEAR that comes with such relaxed gun ownership rules in the States)
