I must admit, I can think of one of my teachers who probably would have shot us all if he had a weapon! This guy was SO stressed he used to turn bright red, frantically rub his face, storm into the supply room in a rage and was pretty much in the process of having a nervous breakdown. I even heard a rumour that he was so destroyed by certain kids (not me btw, I was a good boy!) picking on him that he's since killed himself. Not someone I'd want having access to a gun. Plus, he was a Morris dancer too.
