That's the problem with "Gun Control" people only think of gun control of what is legal and illegal. Gun Control is laws, punishments, and many other aspects.

It is true that you can't purchase an assult rifle or automatic weapon..WHOLE!!

There is no law however against purchasing, say an automatic weapon barrel, or a firing piece, or a sight, or a handle, or a firing mechanism, or a magazine separately. So essentially one can purchase every piece they need to make their own automatic weapons. Now once they have pieced it together it is illegal, however Gun Control laws should ban people from being able to purchase the individual components as well.
