Definitely ........also some guitar work.
Some vocals I can think of that gave me chills the first time I heard:
Van Halen ; Dreams
Unruly Child: Who Cries Now (midsection where he lets loose : "Who cries nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow)
Queen: The Show Must Go On - not a big fan of them for the most part but the vocal performance and the context.........
Savatage: Gutter Ballet - everything about that song
One of the best I think combining some good vocals and an amazing bridge leading into an awesome guitar solo is the midsection to Lost In Paradise by Giant. Very well written.
