Kamelot - You have PM btw.

No it won't. Region Codes are different to PAL/NTSC. PAL/NTSC refers to the number of lines that make up the television picture in the UK (PAL) as opposed to the US (NTSC) or France (SECAM)

All hacking the region code will do is allow you to play discs that are coded for a certain region of the world. Unless the TV is compatible with PAL pictures, you still wont be able to view them.

All the Thunder DVDs are all region anyway

What confuses people is that our TVs in the UK are all (well 99.9% anyway) compatible with both PAL and NTSC. Im not sure if it is true the other way round ie. with American TVs. I believe the reasoning behind it is most stuff gets released first in the US so therefore there is more of a need for UK sets to support NTSC.

Kamelot - I have checked my Thunder DVDs and they are all marked PAL unfortunately.

Steve
