RE: Recommendations...

Hi again Ace,

I don't think that I really have too much to recommend that hasn't already been mentioned. I'll recap, though:

Here's a list of a lot of the new(er) music that I dig. I've tried to (very roughly) group them in a sensible order (ie, according to their overall sound, heaviness, etc.)...

The "New Breed":
-SR-71 (my faves of the bunch)
-Eve 6
-Treble Charger
-Zebrahead
-Marvelous 3
-Lit
-Nine Days
-3 Doors Down

A bit of a departure from the above artists:
-Moist (I was thinking, these guys are kinda like a slightly grunge-influenced version of The Cult)
-Tea Party (Bizarre, mind-blowing stuff. Picture a 90s version of the Doors, combined with some Metallica and mix a heavy Eastern influence, sorta like some of the stuff Jimmy Page has done, and you get a general idea)
-Creed (Pearl Jam [at their finest] meets Metallica doing grunge)
-Goo Goo Dolls (IMO, their latest album, "Dizzy Up the Girl" has some absolute classic moments)
-Collective Soul (Another band that is consistently very good)
-Kid Rock (I don't know why I like him, but I do)

Some punk or punk-influenced bands:
-Third Eye Blind
-Blink 182
-Green Day

A little on the lighter side:
-Vertical Horizon
-Sister Hazel
-Matchbox 20
-Tonic
-Savage Garden (very light compared to most of the other acts mentioned)

Stuff I'm looking forward to hearing:
Tsar
Neve
Mars Electric
Stir - "Holy Dogs" (thanks to this thread)

Hope this has helped.
Don
