Sorry if this subject was on here before. (my bad!!). I've found that after reading a lot of other posts that some people don't want to have anything to do with the "new" artists that dominate the chart. I'm 30 years old I've pretty much stayed up to date w/ my music. Sure the 80's was my decade and it was a great time, but it's the year 2000 and I've come to accept the fact that the 80's are over with and music is going to keep changing all the time so I've learned to just "deal" with it. Sure I love the fact that Journey has a new album out and I bought the import!! But I can also appreciate what today's artists are doing. Sure there's a lot of crap out now, but there was a lot of crap out in the 80's, too. Music is pretty much the same but it has a different "sound" just like the other decades had different sounds.
I guess maybe I'm more musically "open minded" that a lot of people. I can appreciate all kinds of music. I like the current pop stuff like Pink, Destiny's Child, and that Soul Decision song "Faded" (sounds just like vintage George Michael) I also like Creed, Stroke 9, Eve 6 (the new c.d. "Horrorscope" is filled w/ catchy pop tunes) and even the country stuff like Tim Mcgraw and Shania Twain. So, to kinda wrap this up, to ME today's music is just like the 80's, but w/ a different sound. Pretty soon, music is going to change again so I'll just have to be prepared for it.
Thanks for reading!
Chrisj
