Fucking hell...
I don't like the band, but I can't say good riddance because of that. I'd rather any band I don't like bow out than a child be molested to end their career.
And like Gary says, no one KNOWS anything.
If this is wrong, and it does say arrested on conspiracy charges, so as yet he's not guilty of committing the act, then this kind of stuff, and people spreading rumours within minutes, is incredibly damaging.
I work in child care and have done for 10 years. Being a bloke i've had two incidences of older women voicing their suspiscions of why a 25 year old guy would want to look after kids, and it made me so ill, and broke my heart (and for a while my mind), and i've given up more and more work in the field that I have trained and specialised in for most of my young adult life, and am looking elsewhere for employment rather than ever being made to feel like that again, even though i have never and would never harm a child, have several clean police checks dating back over 10 years, and great references from every parent and several children i've worked with.
Innocent untill proven guilty, and people should consider the harm their slander can do before they go venting and reading into things...
It's very dodgy ground, but allegations like this are possibly the worst thing you could say about someone. Let the law take it's course first, perhaps?
Perfect example is how c***s like Max Clifford will name and publicise photo's of the man who lived in the house next to the hotel of Madelaine McCann, (because he was a weirdo, I mean living alone with his elderly mother in a foreign land!) potentially ruining that man's life, and he was completely innocent. Yet at the same time, Clifford covered up over 30 years of Jimmy Saville sexually abusing young girls, that he had freely admitted he knew was going on...
It's completely wrong.
Sure Lostprophet's guy might well be guilty, but let's wait untill we know that before we vilify him and drag his name and the name of all his innocent bandmates through the mud...
