Yeah, Andrew explains it all in the review there. It wasn't supposed to be a Talisman album or even sound like Talisman....but it's impossible not to make that comparance, of course. Especially as the band name is taken from a Talisman album (!).
After all, Norgren was a member of Talisman too and played on "Truth".
Marcel explained it all to me once, but I seem to have forgotten exactly what he said but he mentioned that they we're experimenting a little with the songwriting on this one and worked a lot with loops and sampling. The songs were approached in a very different way to how the Talisman songs were written (something like that).
JSS was brought in to sing on these songs and wasn't involved in the project at all in the beginning, I believe....which makes it even more impressive as the vocals on the album is one of the reasons I love it so much. It really sounds like he put his heart into the songs. Absolutely fantastic stuff.
Maybe Jeff can shed some light on this?
Anyway....I love the album and it ranks up there with "Humanimal" and "Genesis" as my favourite album by the guys. Essential!!!
