Sorry, I don't mean to offend you, but your argument that looks affect the quality of a bands music is absolutely ludicrous. When you say that Poison got worse with each album because they started to look more like guys than chicks - well, I disagree. They actually got better and started to display some decent level of musicianship - which had a lot to do with the addition of Richie Kotzen, I guess. And that's why "Native Tongue" is probably their best album - maybe not in terms of sales, but in terms of quality of the songs. Now I don't mean that everybody has to cut their hair and wear a suit and tie like Gregg Giuffria - although I give him a lot of credit for making such a smooth and successful career transition instead of bitching about Nirvana and MTV's conspiracy to bring down Melodic Hardrock. There are plenty of musicians out there who spot a long hair do without making complete idiots out of themselves. I was at the Gods and people like Mark Mangold and Randy Jackson looked just fine. But most importantly, if your argument had some sort of validity, then bands like Metallica and AC/DC should suck. They never really cared about (fashion) trends, and that's exactly why they're still around selling millions of albums and filling arenas day in day out.
