In metal: One-Way Mirror - Destructive By Nature.
One-Way Mirror is basically a side-project of french band Lyzanxia, with Mnemic vocalist Guillaume Bideau. Their 2008 debut is a fantastic slice of Soilwork style modern metal, so I was expecting great things from this years follow-up. Sadly, it turned out to be a very poor effort.
Another couple of hugely disappointing albums are 'Demon Hunter - True Defiance' and 'Front Line Assembly - AirMech'
In Melodic Rock: Harry Hess - Living In Yesterday
The songs aren't bad, but the entire album just plods along. It's extremely boring
