Who should he work with?

Vocals: Dio.
Bass: Billy Sheehan.
Keyboards: Don Airey (the more former Rainbow members, the better, eh?)
Drums: Cozy was a great choice, but since he's not with us, how about Jason Bonham? (YM: "Jason, I don't think the drums sounded right during the chorus." JB: "Oh yeah?!?! Well my dad was John Bonham so shut the hell up on what you think is the right drum sound!!")

Yeah, the ego clash with Dio alone could set the world spinning out of control, but part of the problem appears to be that some of his sidemen don't speak up and let YM know when he's off his rocker.

Of course, being in total control is his right. But he's had it his way for years now with limited success. If that's ok with him, that's ok with me. But it seems to me that playing with "equals" would force him to be in a band that has a more interesting dynamic than what he has now.

I like YM and have every CD since his first. But to be honest, most of them (especially recently) sound really similar. It doesn't bother me that much since I like that style. But it seems to hinder his progress at attracting a larger fan base which I get the feeling is what he would like.
