Being a big Kiss fan and a huge Fan of both Ace and Peter, i'm not sure i'd read either book. (maybe if i find them used for a couple of bucks) To me both Ace and Peter had the golden ticket and basically chose substance abuse. As Lowdz said a complete was of talent.
