Yngwie's material since Attack! I admit has been patchy at best. The two before the newbie were bloody dreadful (to the extent that I don't own "Relentless"...) and from what I see my hope for the new release with him now handling lead vocals... several hundred steps backwards.

Before Attack? IMHO a 10+ year career of hard rock/metal numbers of a consistantly high standard - for me, a record very, very, very rarely bettered by any artist anywhere.

And while many guitarists would pretend they didn't like his style or songwriting there are those of us who suspect there is one hell of a lot of jealousy there. When he's on form I have yet to see a player that impressive or mesmerising. Yes he's an arrogant, stubborn ass but playing wise he's a genius and an innovator.

Sadly he's not been on form for some time. Doesn't take away his history or legacy.
