With piracy running wild in the CD world and music being downloaded to crappy MP3 why don't bands release thier albums on Bluray where you could have the album in full 7.1 DTS MA sound, HD video clips and a HD video of the band playing the full album live in studio in HD sound as well.
Quality Home theatre systems are very common now so this would bring the music back into lounge rooms and played at the highest quality.
