I pretty much agree with most of this. I don't hear much of a change in his voice when compared to Crossroads Moment where he also sounded excellent. The songs were more melodic on that record and the vocals were right up front where they should be.
Also, very good use of "Man Against The World" as an example of spectacular lyrics. There are so many lines from that song that are profound and poignant.
I think WSC is more "pop" than Vital Signs by far, but they are both excellent albums.
Nice review. I do think this album was way over-hyped. Good record but not a classic by any stretch.
