None of them will give high quality sound as they are made for convenience when travelling, but the higher end / dearer ones should sound perfectly fine on a standard car stereo or portable radio.
As for distance from radio - they all vary but my Audiax will cover the whole house without interference on a clear frequency. I found the Belkin one had lousy coverage. Battery life also varies - my audiax will give approx 18 hours on a Duracell ultra or 12-14 on a duracell rechargeable.
Bear in mind if at work, electrical equipment may interfere..
I have seen the Audiax under different names, i have a second one that is branded icast (however in the battery compartment it shows it as a rebranded DGT-202). This is what the DGT-202 looks like
