Half of the album is great, and is an extension of the 'All American Nightmare' style, but with the other half they have tried to do things a little differently by adding a pop feel to the songs, and it just doesn't work that well. The songs aren't crap, they're just not as good as their previous work, and five ballads is three too many, but as I said, it is an album that grows on you.
