Power Metal became that crappy, galloping, pseudo classical rubbish. Every band sounded alike and it suffered, ironically, the same kind of date as 'hair metal'.
Latter day power metal bands bear/bore little resemblance to the original, traditional, power metal. The addition of 'symphonic' ruined everything.
