Why do rock magazines never ask bands some awkward questions??

Kerrang for example, never asked bands:

Def Leppard - "So tell me, did Rick Allen play on Pyromania"

Kiss - "When you toured in the UK in 83/84/88 where was this big massive show with loads of effects you boast of?"

Whitesnake - "So tell me David, why did Jon Sykes leave? And what happened to the other band members you recorded 1987 with?"

I guess they were too scared of upsetting them....
