The first is one of the finest "projects" Frontiers released, and not quite as "usual suspects" as subsequent releases have become. It's also one of the best thing's Joe has sung on.
The sequels were also both very good, but the debut just sounds like a lost album from 1986, it features some great Jim Peterik songwriting (before he became all cabaret), and excellent cuts from Van Stephenson (one of the finest writers to exist) and John Parr.
Still play it regularly, unlike many other "project" albums released since...
