Like I say, not knocking them mate. I'm sure they are great live.
Can I imagine them on a bill alongside such bands as Danger Danger, Gotthard, Royal Hunt, etc etc? Not at all. It's a complete mismatch of styles. People would use it as an excuse to go and eat. Sad but true.
I'm a huge Toto fan and don't hear the similarity. Maybe a slight crossover of styles in the late 70s but Toto are much more than that.
I put Sad Cafe in the same category as City Boy, 10cc, Supertramp, even ELO. Clever pop/rock.
