As usual, I am late catching up (still don't have the most recent Tyketto, the last two Gotthard's and the last two Magnum's, although I am a huge fan of those three bands...). This said, the new KISS record is absolutely stunning.

Unlike anything they did since their heydays, "Monster" grabs your attention from the first riff and doesn't let go. After several spins, it still sounds great and I believe this is an album with lasting power. Even Simmons' songs are good!

I have no problem saying that this could be amongst the three best things they ever did, and definitively their best album since "Love Gun".

I had zero expectations. I normally buy everything from them because they were the first rock band I got into. To me, they never released a really terrible album (even "The Elder" has its moments). "Monster" is in my personal top 3 with "Destroyer" and "Dressed To Kill". Excellent album.
