One thing I would consider, (one of the few things I don't like about festivals) is the traditionally short stage times.

I would have fewer bands and give each a longer time slot rather than squeezing each band into short sets plus longer for the headliner.

Ideally duration based on their catalogue size and how long they would normally play at their own headline gig.

I would rather see 5 bands doing 60-90 minutes slots than 8 doing 45 plus headliner.
