I was pretty floored to hear that sales of Rick Springfield's new cd in the first week of sales here in The US was around 9,000. Really--that's IT?! One of his very best works and he himself promoted the snot out of that single with fan interaction/singing the chorus and being ON the damn cd--even being LISTED in liner notes that you're on it! Surely sales have gotten better in the last couple weeks,but...yIKES!! Depressing how the thought of zero radio support really IS the death knell for 'our' rock music anymore. Pretty amazing anyone still records anymore--and..lucky for US!. T
