I dont actually know ANYONE else with a standalone BluRay player (other than ps3)..everyone I have mentioned it to says why bother paying for a blu ray when dvd players are dirt cheap. Your average shopper buying a film from the high street is gonna go for the DVD as the supermarkets havent really taken to BluRay (plus HMV's prices for them are ridiculous). I was reading the other day that Morrisons new racks dont allow the stocking of BluRay as they are sized for DVD (I havent seen them myself so can't comment if true or not but our local branch only has a handful of bluray and racks of DVD)
