I just hate the way Hollywood completely gets it wrong, the cliche's are over baked to the point of being painfully obvious, the cheese factor is OTT, and they tend to always depict the rock music fan as some kind of dweeb with no life. I know its from a different genre of film, but for me, the only Hollywood film that truly captured the kid growing up in rock circles or rock per se, was ALMOST FAMOUS. Thats probably because of the directors direct connection to 70/80's rock royalty.
