that Dare Calm Before the Storm 2 review

at the risk of starting yet another huge reviews debate (which I'm sure is exactly what this will do)
from the review....
"it is filled with some killer songs and the upgraded performances and sound make it a brilliant album for those that will come in to the material from a fresh perspective. And it has that more dominant guitar driven sound we are all craving from Dare."
Original album score back in the archives: 94%
re-done album score (presuming you didn't have the original): 90%
So, if it's better than the original (which the review seems to indicate), how did it get a lower score than the first time around? Obviously, impressions and personal tastes can change over the years--is that what happened here? Just curious...
