The rears in a surrpound system a overrated, if you ask me. I could easily live without them to be honest, but they do give something extra to the experience once in a while (seldom though).
I also listened to these at the same "session" as the DM's.

They sounded fantastic, of course. Not enough improvement from what I own though, for me to spend the cash.
