The MP3s contained on the enhanced part of the CD are not new mixes of the songs. Kevin Shirley didn't remix the songs for the MP3 versions, he only 'encoded' them (everybody can do it easily, of course).
The booklet says it's 192 kbps/48000 Hz MP3 version, which is exactly the same as what we've listened on the official website (I've downloaded them all and they are indeed 192 kbps/48000 Hz MP3s).
Meanwhile the 2nd MP3 version are only 'louder' version (EQ'd 2dB, according to the booklet).
It's such a shame about the mix/recording, cos there are some good songs on the album... "Eyes of the Young" is actually one of the best 'AOR' tracks I've heard this year... very melodic!
