The issue wasn't so much they didn't cancel, but the complete lack of communication. It's one thing to go on with the show. It is quite another to do so without even talking to your lead singer. Nightwish has, it seems, developed a childish reputation of avoiding conflict (c.f., Tarja) and talking behind people's backs.

The show must go on- indeed I applaud their efforts to play, particularly the new singers'- but do so with class. You reap what you sow.

Of course, this was probably just the tip of the iceberg. I hope everyone lands on their feet and learns from their scars. The stress, bad blood, severed relationships.. it needn't have worked out this way.
