Sure...and pissed off a lot of people that already paid for their tickets and were waiting.

It may have been different if there was a day or two warning but I think the band made a decision....the show must go on.

What would have pissed off the most people...cancelling at the last minute or plodding on with replacement singers?

It's not like Anette is the leader of the band or anything...she's a hired gun, just like all future singers of NightWish will be.
