To me this band has always been about the music. I love Anette's voice on the two cd's and on the two occasions I have seen them live she was excellent. However Ive been watching much of the current tour on YouTube and something seemed to be missing. Vocally Anette seemed to be struggling and the band didnt seem to be generating their usual degree of excitement.
IMHO this may be the best move the band have made and depending on who the full time vocalist is may be a really strong move forward. I was always very defensive of Anette Olzon and I plan to see them 3 times on this tour but I was left mightily unimpressed with much of the footage I have watched and listened to and was rather apprehensive about the upcoming shows.
In response to Plumber, what the hell are you on about. If you are a fan of the band then you must surely recognise what Tuomas has brought to this band. You are also making some rather large assumptions about the split. Keep your tickets and calm down dude as I am very sure that Floor Jansen will be a very capable frontwoman and bring a new energy to the bands performances.
