I guess more musically than lyrically.
... But Survivor had their cheesy moments... (High On You, How Much Love, even something like Light of a Thousand Smiles)... I think maybe it stands out more with POL because cheesyness was part of the era back when the Survivor albums were released.
More cheesy than expected? Hmm... after "When Rock Was King" I think Jim's set the bar for cheesy! ;-)
