Since Hughes's 90's return, he's not been one to rest on his laurels. OK he doesn't always come across as the pinnacle of humble but he seems to want to gallop along at top speed.

To be fair to him, I don't entirely blame him. He's not getting any younger and clearly he wants to get the most out of life before his performing years (or years in general) run out.

I can imagine that can be a bit wearing for a younger musician who wants to work on his own projects, at his own pace.
