I was playing some Glenn Hughes before, when I was a teenager, doing my homework. My Dad came in (who's old LP's of Whitesnake, Golden Earring, Iron Maiden, Toto, ELO, etc I used to nick when I was getting into rock) and said "turn this shit off, he sounds awful". So he's deffinitely not for every rock fan.
For me, much like Paul Rodgers, he used to be great.
But at some point they started believing their own hype, and try too hard to show off "look what we can do at our age" making them go all Mariah Carey rather than just singing the friggin' words.
I never really got into Joe Bonamassa, but his last 2 solo albums were excellent! His latest is very good...
