Woah-Oh's.

Just curious who were the first band to do the old 'woah-oh's'. Not sure if that's how you'd spell it phonetically so here's it used in a sentence, or rather lyric:
Woah-oh we're half way there
Woah-oh livin on a prayer.
It's such a huge staple of the melodic rock world I was wondering who did it first? And yes, I really have way too much free time today. It's either this or delousing my pussy.
Additionally - who were the first band to do the gang 'hey's? You know - like the beginning of Jovi's Lay Your Hands on Me, H.E.A.T's Breaking the Silence and in part through Treat's Tangled Up. What can I say - I'm in anorak mode.
Figured I'd ask you good gents on the board as some of you are old enough to remember the hey day of melodic rock, as well as the first world war and the crowning of Queen Victoria, so may have some insight.
