Ain't much of a phenomenon to me cos I'd never heard of him until this thread LOL. I don't listen to much popular stuff , as if you don't know.

I just checked out a couple of tracks - sounds a bit like Ted Nugent at times with the vocal quirks.

Not my cuppa tea but at least some of it it has a groove , which is more than I can say for most of what passes for music these days.

being an ex-muso myself I think part of what sets much of the melodic rock of the 80's,90's etc.. apart from what's coming out today is that I could listen to it and appreciate not only the catchy songs but the musicianship/songwriting involved, even if the sound got derivative after a while.

This stuff and even that track below from Pure Love .....it would have to be an amazingly catchy song to get me on board because musically it sounds like something the lesser lights in my high school bands could've dreamt up in 15 mins.
