Re: When did music become unimportant?

Strangely music is less important to me these days.
When I was younger it meant everything but since I have been exposed to the inner workings of the biz I feel less inclined to spend time being a fan, strike that I find it hard to be a fan.
Add to that my life has taken a different turn in the last decade with relationships and family I just have less time to listen.
These days I tend to listen to new stuff in fits and starts, 2 or 3 months before Firefest I tend to start listening to bands who are playing to try and guage how they are going to work on the day and what I'll need to do to help them so even then it's not for pleasure.
Music isn't unimportant, just I have more important things to do.
