What I'd like to see, is the cost of music, digital and CD's, slashed by at least 50%, to see if it encourages people to buy official product. The same thing could also be applied to movies and video games. The simple facts are that most people have a lot less disposable income than they previously had. So lowering prices should be the first step taken in the fight against piracy.

As you say, piracy will never be beaten, and if eventually, online piracy is dealt a huge blow, it will just return to the underground, just like it was before.
