If you expect huge success as Supernatural and Inside Job you may be right.
The point is the atmosphere is more upbeat for allowing comebacks. Currently Bon Jovi's Crush is #1 seller in MHR genre. Then #2? Maybe Firehouse. But too wide margin stands between Crush and O2. On sales Crush sells 100 times as O2. But on mini-scale Firehouse new album gave positive feedback for Danger Danger, Enuff'Z Nuff, Nelson and Mr.Big as well. Melodic rock artists can now have a U.S. release opportunity unthinkable one or two years ago. Rock is gradually back in the U.S.
